Skywarn is an official program of the National Weather Service. Its goal is to provide boots-on-the ground information & data directly to the NWS in locations where Doppler Radar can’t see. The beautiful mountains, valleys, and flatlands in our area make Skywarn’s trained & certified Storm Spotters valuable assets for reporting severe weather in such locations.
